Beachscape@bude is a modern ground floor apartment.
On arrival there is a designated covered parking space, however side access can be limited and passengers may wish to exit before the vehicle is parked. The parking area consists of level block paving.
Access to the apartment can either be by three steps with handrail or alternatively by a longer step free route up a slight incline onto a paved surface. Both of these routes are well lit with automatic movement sensing lamps.
There is level access from the front door to, and throughout the apartment accommodation. The apartment may also be accessed through the sliding patio door although there is a slight step of about 3 inches.
Accommodation consists of 1 double bedroom and 1 twin room, these are carpeted with a close pile carpet, access to the twin room is restricted between the beds, the double room has good access to both sides of the bed.
The bathroom comprises a low level wc, handbasin and a combined bath and shower. Independent mobility is necessary to access the bath and shower. There is a heated towel rail close to the wc which may be hot and should not be used as a grabrail.
There is a fully fitted kitchen with modern appliances and smooth laminate flooring leading to a carpeted lounge diner with modern furnishings. The apartment is heated by thermostat controlled underfloor heating reducing the possibility of contact with hot surfaces and avoiding protruding trip hazards.
Lighting throughout the apartment is to a good standard with a combination of modern halogen fittings and low energy lamps.
